Location:
Follow Hwy. #101 to Sakinaw Lake Road (located about 6 km./3.7 mi.
south of Earl's Cove). Turn west off the 101 onto Sakinaw Lake Road
and follow it to the lake.
Resorts
& Campsites:
Boat rentals are available at fishing camps on the lake. Other resort
and camping areas can be found on nearby Ruby Lake and a Provincial
Park is also located at Halfmoon Bay.

Fishing
Report: Sakinaw is known for its large Cutthroat trout
which can reach over 4 lbs. Kokanee, Sockeye and Coho salmon are
also found in the lake. This beautiful lake is the largest on Sechelt
Peninsula and is best fished in the spring and fall months. Boats
can be launched at the lake. Be sure to visit Fishbc.com

Lakes
Garden Bay, Hotel, Katherine and Mixal lakes can be found a few
kms. to the southwest of Sakinaw near the community of Garden
Bay. Garden Bay, Katherine and Hotel are Cutthroat stocked lakes
providing fishermen with trout up to 2 lbs. Mixal Lake has a surface
area of 43 ha. (106 ac.) and also provides a Cutthroat fishery.
Like Sakinaw these lakes are best fished in the spring and fall
months. All services and accommodations can be found in the Garden
Bay area.
